PHARM/PCS V5Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 1, 2026

Company responsible for this Policy: MCS Scientific LLC (“MCS Scientific,” “we,” “us,” or “our”)

Product: PHARM/PCS V5 pharmacology calculation software (the “Software”)

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information MCS Scientific collects when you access or use the Software, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you may have. It applies only to the PHARM/PCS V5 application served through its application subdomain. It does not apply to the public PHARM/PCS marketing website, which is governed by the separate PHARM/PCS Website Privacy Policy, or to other websites, products, or services operated by MCS Scientific, which may have different data practices. By using the Software, you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account information. When you register, our authentication provider, Kinde, collects your name, email address, user ID, and the authentication and account information needed to create, secure, and manage your account. Kinde handles your authentication credentials. MCS Scientific receives the account information needed to provide and license the Software.

2.2 Billing information. Subscription billing is managed through Kinde Billing, which uses an integration with Stripe to process payments. Stripe collects and handles payment card details directly; MCS Scientific does not receive or store full payment card numbers. Kinde and Stripe may provide us with limited billing information, such as billing name, the last four digits of a card, subscription status, renewal date, and transaction history.

2.3 Authentication and technical data. When you sign in to or access the Software, MCS Scientific and its service providers may automatically receive technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device or user-agent information, requested URL, log data, and the dates and times of access. We use this information for authentication, security, fraud prevention, and service operation.

2.4 Calculation data. The Software performs all pharmacologic calculations locally within your web browser on your device. Your calculation inputs and results are not transmitted to, collected by, or stored by MCS Scientific. This protection applies specifically to calculation data. Other limited account, technical, and license-validation information leaves your browser as described in Sections 2.1 through 2.3 and 2.5.

2.5 License validation. While the Software is in use, it periodically contacts a license-validation endpoint operated by MCS Scientific and hosted on Netlify to confirm that the Subscription is active. The request includes your user ID and may include other account or subscription identifiers needed to match the request to your Subscription. As part of receiving the request, Netlify inherently receives technical request information such as your IP address, browser user agent, request date and time, and connection or routing metadata. We use this information to validate licenses, maintain security, and detect or prevent unauthorized sharing or circumvention. MCS Scientific retains its application log of validation requests for 30 days, after which it is deleted or de-identified, unless a specific security incident, dispute, or legal requirement makes longer retention necessary. Netlify may maintain separate platform or security logs under its own policies; our 30-day period does not apply to those provider-controlled logs.

2.6 On-screen identity display. While you use the Software, it displays your name and user ID on screen for licensing and anti-redistribution purposes. You acknowledge that the display may be visible to third parties when the Software is projected, recorded, demonstrated, or shared on screen, including in classrooms and research settings. You should take this display into account before projecting, recording, or sharing your screen.

2.7 Communications. If you contact us for support or other purposes, we collect the information you provide in those communications.

The Software may also use browser local storage to maintain session information and application settings needed for operation. MCS Scientific does not use advertising cookies, analytics, or other non-essential tracking technologies within the Software, and does not use the Software to track your activity across other websites or services. These statements apply only to the Software and do not describe the public marketing website or any other property operated by MCS Scientific.

Our providers may retain information under their own retention schedules and legal obligations. When a retention period expires, we delete or de-identify the information where reasonably feasible.

We and our service providers use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. United States Privacy Rights

Residents of some United States states may have rights under applicable privacy laws to confirm whether we process their personal information; access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of it; opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling; and appeal a decision on a request. MCS Scientific does not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use it for targeted advertising. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable right.

To submit a request, contact us using Section 12. We may verify your identity and authority before acting, and may deny or limit a request as permitted by law. An authorized agent may submit a request where applicable. If we deny a request, you may ask us to reconsider by replying to our decision. This section describes how we handle applicable requests and does not state that any particular state privacy statute applies to MCS Scientific.

9. United States Processing

MCS Scientific is based in the United States, and the Software is currently offered for purchase only in the United States. MCS Scientific processes and stores the personal information described in this Policy in the United States, and its primary application infrastructure is hosted there. If you access the Software while outside the United States, the information transmitted for authentication, billing, hosting, or license validation will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Software is intended solely for use by adults and requires all account holders to be at least 18 years old, consistent with the eligibility requirement in our Terms of Service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from someone under 18, we will take steps to delete that information and, if applicable, terminate the associated account.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a revised effective date and, where required, notify you of material changes. Your continued use of the Software after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
